FAQ

  • "How busy are you?"

I am an ever-revolving door of 50+ repair jobs at any given time. I do my best to keep turnaround of setup and minor work to 3-6 business days.

  • "Are you in today?"

    Monday - Friday

  • "Can I get this tomorrow?"

I do not offer a rush service. I’m in early and staying late already to keep up with my workload, but will always try to accommodate short notice gigs / recording sessions if you need something in a pinch.

Glue jobs (bridge reset, headstock breaks) are time-gated and cannot be sped up.

  • "Phone went to voicemail"

I often cannot get to the phone in time, nor do I answer if I’m with someone at the counter. Please leave a message.

  • "How much will it cost?"

Beyond typical job rates, I cannot give phone quotes without seeing something in person. If a job takes less time for me, it’s a lesser cost. I price accordingly for multiple repairs and mods (i.e. bone nut, saddle, tuners and setup) at a discounted rate over individual pricing for each component.

  • "Just checking in"

I will always call the moment your instrument is cleaned and put in the case. Until then, it is still being worked on and not yet ready.

Important Notes:

  • Instruments dropped off toward the end of my week won’t hit the bench until the middle of the following week.

  • I am limiting the amount of larger jobs I take on at once to better get in control of my workload. Re-frets and acoustic neck sets are now list based and have to be scheduled in advance.

  • I’m not equipped to spray lacquer and finishes beyond smaller touchups. All finish repairs are sent to affiliate shops.

  • Please call ahead if you want to bring more than one instrument. Coming in unannounced with four or more instruments can throw off the flow of the week greatly.
